April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and Branch House has teamed up with a number of our wonderful partners to bring the Start by Believing initiative to the region. Start by Believing is a public awareness campaign aimed at ending the cycle of silence and transforming the way friends, family, formal support systems, and victim service providers respond to sexual assault. By first believing victims who disclose sexual assault, we can offer help and support, improve emotional well-being, increase reporting rates, and prevent retraumitization.

To kick-off this fantastic campaign, we will be holding a Start by Believing t-shirt fundraiser throughout the Month of April. Funds raised from t-shirt sales will go directly to improving and expanding victim services here at Branch House.
